👩🏾: Yeah, just. Like, I must say, like, you know, these memory issues, and I know working well under pressure and not a good multi-tasker. I make sense many times. No mistakes. I don't even see for myself. You know, it's one thing you're seeing your mistakes, but when you're not seeing them, when you don't know what's wrong and Scott, like I've always said from the very beginning, I met him. I feel like with me he's the most patient because he knows how I am. My personality and what, you know, could shock me or trigger me from the very beginning, you know? And it's like I feel things and just going out there now and working is just I know it's not I'm just not capable of that. Like, my mindset has just become so almost like closed up to the world.
Call it the pandemic, call it, you know, the stuff I went through with my previous employer. All those traumatic events, um, that, you know, my experience with Scott's being like, I'm building something and I feel safe just working with him. Like, there's no feeling like that trigger. Like he's going to get angry at me any moment and going to fire me or whatever. Like, you know, I don't have those, those thoughts, you know, And that's what paralyzes me and stops me, right? So like I said, I'm not good with numbers and not good with technology. I cannot lift heavy things. And I'm not fast. I'm like super slow, you know, super small things, even typing, you know, if I would work at a cashier's job, like, you know, with all the pressure and people coming, I'll be making mistakes and I'll probably get fired the next day because I'm like super slow and I and I'm a very slow learner. Like, I need time. I need like these special, you know, accommodations like how I have my own day and I have my, you know, two monitors right now. I did have three, but I have two right now because one, you know, I wasn't broke, wasn't working, but really I need like three, four monitors for my eyes and just how slow I am right on the computer, too. Like it takes me like and then depending on the email, 2 hours to write one simple email, you know, where for someone else, an average person, it would take like 10 minutes, 15 minutes, less than an hour. Um, and I do like it's, you know, I do have a focusing problem. Call it my anxiety.
You know, Dr. Goldberg says in one of his letters, actually multiple times he said it that it's in writing of cognitive memory issues, and it's primarily like exacerbated or caused by my anxiety, triggered by the anxiety and the memory loss to, you know, and like anything can trigger me, you know, and that's become worse in economic times, but also PTSD, the fear of someone yelling at me. That's why I have, you know, these would be my legal things, legal proceedings. I, you know, got approved for a written hearing because of my disabilities. So, um, and Scott really understands my situation. He's like, work with me. You know, there's a history there for over ten years now, and he really understands how my mind works. And he can create these customized situations that are tailored only for me. Um, you know that to meet my needs, right? Accordingly. So yeah, that's what I feel.
You know, like just the thought of going and working out there, like it brings that anxiety, that worry that almost like that, that hopelessness feeling right, um, I mean, what happened back in 2017 with my employer was very, very traumatic and that was the only and first job I ever worked. And they only hired me because the culture at the time was that they hired people who they can control, who had low self-esteem. And the next I had an extremely low self-esteem. I was so happy that anyone would hire me out of university. And so, you know, they took me on. But look what the situation I worked, what, 50, 60 hours a week and getting paid for 2025. And I didn't speak up. So that was their culture, right? Um, hiring people who didn't stand up for themselves and they knew I was that person. And so that's, I feel is the only reason they, they hired me. Anyone that stood up for themselves either got reprimanded or fired. And I witnessed that. And that was the only job like Scott even tried to, you know, back then, you know, um, take me out on these other interviews, get these other interviews for me, and it just didn't pan out or work out. You know, there's just something where it takes me a long time to process things in my mind, even reading right when I read something sometimes like I got to read it two or three times to understand the words.
And my eyesight isn't the greatest. Like thumbs up to hold the paper like, you know, to really see what it's saying. Um, you know, I'm just very, very super slow. And Scott works at my pace because he understands me and no one can really understand me. And that's just the way it is. It's not their fault. It's just like people don't have the time. The amount of training I would require or, you know, they just don't have the patience or the time for me. Many people do, and I know that. And that's I feel safe this because he's the only one that has shown and has had patience because he understands my humanity. So, um, you know, he truly understands my disorders. Anxiety can be anticipatory anxiety, you know, the PTSD getting triggered, like, oh, that's going to get triggered again if I'm forced out in this real world, you know? Yes, I have isolated myself. It's almost like I've become accustomed to the isolation where I'll only go out if I need to go out, you know, close by. Oh, like you know where Scott, you know, if you're running an errand. But it's like I'm not into going to parties or anything like that with friends anymore. It's just like, you know, I. It's like my brain has has changed in a way.
👩🏾: You know, I've become less of a social being. I mean, yes, I'm in, you know, beyond Zoom calls now. But even that was scary at first. You know, after, you know, going through all that and that's why I'm on the calls with you whenever you need me to be, just to, you know, just to be there. And then, then I leave when you're got your groove. Yeah, I get scared. That's true. Yeah. Well, what. What major? Cause you. It's like yesterday you sent a message saying you wanted to talk about this, and then. Now you did. What do you think was driving you needed to talk about this more.
👩🏾: It's just thinking that maybe thinking like the questions that people still have, they really. It's very hard to explain. Oh, we are working. Yeah. My God, We don't just work. 8 hours, 12 minutes, and that's all we do, you know, we are complaining about it like, you know, I'm sure like many people have both parties and like family and weekends and family time. We have survival like seven days a week. This year we are mourning. I'm lying in my bed for 18 hours a day. So we go to bed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then what time is it now? Six is the first time we've seen each other since the morning. Is it six? I'm just guessing something like that. Yeah. Once we need to take a break because we work so long and they take a break and take a break. And again, it's just, you know that we've got no money. We never can go anywhere. That'll change. Yeah. And then it's.
👨🏼🦲: It's actually good you're talking about this because actually that ties it to a thought I was having as I was building the website just trying to get present to the people that are going to come on it right and just how they're thinking and so here's I'll just ask the question and you just see what you have to say. Question is what if you guys work that much like why? Why are you making any money? Maybe you should get a job. Like, that's what it would definitely look like to people. Yeah. So what's your answer to that?
👩🏾: That's insane. That's true, people. It starts to work together. No, but we are. My point is that people get that and it's like. But you guys are working. You've been working for since since the pandemic even. Well, we've had all these other issues like legal issues, systematic system that we're constantly deal that's constantly what we're doing. And, you know, like we have to prepare this huge, huge case, you know, for my own rights and things. Yeah. I mean, how would you that's well, there are certain things that wouldn't be appropriate to disclose, you know, and even though I'm all about transparency and Dr. Goldberg and I have talked about it, it's there's certain things that I just can't talk about. Right. 👨🏼🦲But we haven't been able to is it's just like in one crisis after another. Like even when we got into Ontario works, you, you know, thinking, okay, how I could get my meds paid for it, got a little security, I'll just be here for 90 days. I'm getting the hell out. And it's been, you know, 18 months in my account. Get shut down twice, right? Like, for no reason. And then I have to go there in person to reactivate it, but it doesn't take away the fact that, like, what they did, then all of a sudden there's no security here. And then I can't focus on my business because all this stuff is happening and then you're being affected by this stuff, like even more than me. And, you know, we have to deal with all of this together and then all these human rights violations, like, you know, and I, I have to stand up for my rights, even though I know it's costing me money, you know, And that's the bottom line.
I feel and I know that Goldberg is right, Like, I can't even believe like I've told you this when he said that about me, that you can only work if it's this way. Unstructured, unorganized, un, whatever he said, it's like I didn't even know that. But that is how I work, right? And like. And then his June 15th letter, you know, they need to get they need six months reprieve out of the system so they can just focus on their business. They've never had a chance to do that. They have to rebuild. There's no streaming platform, you know, Scotsman, self-employed for 30 years. He's confident that I could make money because I make money. And then any scenario, you know, that's why there's never been a chance to just own our business since the pandemic. But but it's not even the pandemic. The pandemic was was not a problem. It was the landlord. You know, it was, you know, it's just crazy what they did. And I'm having to look at all these emails and videos and process the data and the evidence and there's no question we're going to win. And when we win, they're going to just appeal it and then we'll have to, you know, we don't get anything out of it, but so the reason why we haven't had a chance to just focus on our business.
👩🏾: Had to create the to get book to book others thing for you when there no studio. So you get the human connection that way. And it worked and it was good and it was good. But now we can't even spend time on that. We got so many things we have to deal with to prepare for. And like Goldberg doesn't just magically write letters for us, right? He's got integrity. He requires us to send in all the information, you know, to back up everything we're saying and thank God, Right. But and then we have to figure out or I do, how to present it to him in 15 minutes.
Right. And so it's like sometimes it's a week to prepare everything because we've got a limited amount of time to present our case for yet another letter we need them to work on for us. And then we, you know, and then we bring all the evidence and I mean, I don't know any other doctor that would put up with us. So that's what we're doing, right? We're constantly trying to get out ahead of it and be proactive, too, because Dr. Goldberg has been just so invaluable to us. So he's telling us ahead of time what because he knows the system, we don't. And he's telling us like the what you need to that's going to be a problem. And then we deal with it. And it's worked out like he got us. He got trans help for us, you know, And, you know, that's not easy. You heard the the driver say it's very, very hard to get it. Yeah. And he got it so that we both are on it like because your support person authentically but that would be my concern. Like if I look at it, I feel like that's what's on my mind is like GP2 is correct. We need a video and this is fine and I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that that I can be objective. You know how I have that ability to just be present? What's it like for them? Right, and think like them, Meaning anybody who comes to this site, no matter who it is, right? Why would you want to hire these people? Why would you want to invest in them? And the way it looks, I wouldn't I wouldn't. And the reason is just what I said. It's been three years now. The pandemic is over. How come you still haven't really gotten your business off the ground like, so what's going to happen? When are you going to. And and here's what I wanted to say. And I know this would not happen. I'm not a fool. But Dr. Goldberg is right. In his June 15th letter, if we had six months, meaning if I knew and that's what I used to always be for me, no matter what, when I was a head hunter, no matter what I did, if if, if this is the business I'm in or even if I have to start from nothing, I it's always been three months to six months and but always, always.
That's why I always played the game of have six months of your rent, pay it to the landlord up front. That's what I always did because I knew right. I cannot be worried about making money or paying the bills because as soon as you're in that space you can't make money. There's your answer. That's why. Let me just finish. If all our expenses were paid for six months, we would be completely fine. Except for the fact we wouldn't. That's the truth. Because we still have to deal with these stupid issues with the government and the landlord and hearings and other human rights violations. But like I said, for me personally, I'd give it all up. And just if somebody said to me, Scott, it's me, I know you wouldn't agree with me. And that's that's cool, right?
But I'm just saying it for me personally. If somebody said, Scott, how much do you need? How much just to me to need so that you can not worry about money for six months and just focus on your business? And then I tell them the amount that I would have to honestly tell them. I can't even guarantee that's going to still do it because of all these other things that we have to do. And then the other thing like I'm thinking like if John Jonathan Weaver, for example, we say, Scott, well, I'll give you the money, but you have to give me your word that you're going to not pursue fighting your landlord for six months. You're not going to pursue any of this, you know, the SBT and all that stuff.
And to which I would respond, I have to talk to Sameena, because we you know, in the end, we both would have to be aligned with it, but I would definitely be aligned with it. You know, even though even though it's like I wouldn't really be aligned with it. But if I was so if I was forced to do that choice, you know, because I the landlord doesn't get to get away with what they did. But I would make the decision to let them get to get away with it if I was forced into it, because I know that's what we need. We just need six months to not worry about the rent. You can't make money when you're worried about the rent, the internet, you know, the church. I, I don't even know. How have we lasted this long? That's it. Just friends. The contract from, like, five years ago, before the pandemic, there was none of this like I wasn't worried world experience. You know? You know, six months, I think, you know, of us. We just paid on the first or the last one. You know, again, thinking about the rent and then these other bills to. So, yeah. So what is your take on that? But what is so disturbing still in my mind that's it's well you know why you did you all me I mean this is the truth. It is you know it's not I've told you this before when I got into headhunting, when I, you know, the year before I made the quarter million, I said to myself, I'm never going to work for anyone again because I'm not going to tell you a story.
👨🏼🦲: "But I experienced being abused, controlled, couldn't do what I wanted to do, and I was fired out of every single job I had. I had so many jobs, but often due to incompetence or ADHD, like when I was a busboy or a waiter, I got fired fast for forgetting orders. I always said I'd rather shoot myself in the head than get a job. That mindset has helped me stay self-employed for 30 years. It's abusive to force me into a job. When seeking work, I'm upfront with potential clients about my challenges, like bankruptcy, and would do the same in job interviews, sharing my health issues and what to expect from me. This honesty gains trust but also means I often wouldn't get hired.
I can't conform and don't have the energy to pretend. Friends say I qualify for welfare or ODSP, but I refuse to take it, knowing the trap it can be from growing up in welfare. Even if forced into job interviews, I'd be brutally honest, saying I plan to leave for self-employment as soon as possible. I wouldn't work a job knowing I'm deceiving my employer. In interviews, I'd openly state my intention to leave the job quickly. I know it's unlikely I'd be hired, but I believe in being truthful.
I've experienced the difficulty of hiring people, so I respect the interviewer's time by being honest about my goals. Even under financial pressure, I'm committed to being honest and doing what's best in our mutual interests. I strive to work without compromising my integrity, focusing on our joint benefits even when financially independent. I'm careful not to intrude on others' space, respecting their focus. Our situation forces us to be reactive, not proactive. We can't plan ahead due to constant emergencies and health issues. The pandemic has worsened my conditions, leaving me longing to work on our business and make a difference as I did before. Yet, we're stuck in survival mode, hindered by external threats and constant fear, living day-to-day, unsure of the future. Despite the challenges, I'm determined to overcome and succeed.
We have these disabilities. I never looked at them. I never talk about it like that. But, you know, now I have to. But it didn't just magically appear. I've been able to succeed with these disabilities for all these years, but I always had teams around me and, you know, but anyway, Scott and Samina have distinct, unique disabilities that are remarkably complementary. That's what he said after he understood all the work we've done together in all the projects. And it's like the only thing stopping us from working more closely together was his advice that we shouldn't be doing that because Ontario works, cut off your benefits, you know, just for suspecting something. But the reality is we work extremely well together.
Just like all the great things you say about me understanding you and knowing you and having patients with you. Yeah, I get the same from you. You know, like as two people, we're able to work together perfectly. You know, it's it's just. It's easy. It's easy. And even more meaningful, working with clients when I don't have to do everything. And the reality is you are you've been very, very well trained by me. And there's like these things that I trained in integrity choices. I saw that in the membership site. You said you said it August 15th was the date of your very first Integrity Choices session with me, 2019. It was in the membership site, and I've taken you through the Integrity Choices program since then, 2019 every single week.
And then you're leading the program. We're co-leading it. And so like like you can you're master at that and you're a master of booking like two things that you are just great at in those two. One of those things, we can make a lot of money together in it and the other things, just a beautiful thing. That's part of our step 12 spiritual, altruistic, meaningful recovery therapeutics, whatever you want to call it, and just those two things, that's all you need.
And we could be making really, really good money. So here's why you should hire us, because You're getting two great people that their market value is very, very low right now, even though they're worth so much. And the value you like, we don't need to sell to convince anybody of anything. But you know as well as I do that we don't know how to turn ourselves off.
Once a client comes, we're all in. It's just the way it is. We just think about how to make their life better, not because it's a duty or because we get paid and it's a contract. It's because we actually care. You know, both of us care and you know, we care equally. Yeah. Yeah. We have a conscience. We have a heart.
We may seem like we're totally different personalities than we are, but we care about the people. We care about the people we're helping and doing it with honor and so, yeah, you get us free. You know, while the market values low, it's like the stock drop. That's how we look at it. We're a stock. It's just something happened to the stock market and our particular stock just took a nosedive. So right now the market perception of our value is very, very low. So you get to pay a shit money for something that you'll realize because our value hasn't changed, we're better because of it in the way I've been obsessed with beauty. And I'm just like, I'm not just sitting here, you know, I'm working, I'm learning, I'm working.
We're not just sitting here watching movies. I think that's it. Here's because that's that's what it it it's like, how did they get here? Well, Goldberg's 18 page letter explained it. In fact, you know, it's funny, when I was doing putting all those letters in today, I just picked June 15th. They said, Tell me everything about the June 15th letter just to see if ChatGPT, processed it. And I said, tell me everything. What's the significance of the June 15th? And then I said, And why? Or something like that? Like, why are they in the position they're in? And it just answered it perfectly. Yeah. Yeah. It's just you should see it. It would seem one of the I'll send you the link when I see it just to look at it.
It's not a lot to read, it's three paragraphs or four and it goes, This happened, this happened, this happened, this happened. This happened and it just explained. This is why they haven't been able to make money. And that's why Goldberg said, just give them a six month reprieve. And so he sends that letter out to all of them.
He asked all government bodies, and nobody gave it to us, even though he said they want to get out of the system and this is the only way they can get out. The math doesn't add up. They don't have enough money to cover that. Even the rent. That's crazy. I know. I've even emailed them. They said, Oh yeah, we can help. But it's terrible with the situation. We help in any way we can. Oh great. And then you email them back, you know, with whatever they ask for and then they ignore us.
Anyway, I'll send another email to them.
